Pearl Diving.

So, David, my phantasmagorical snorkeling teacher, has informed me I must writer upon my blog something I find interesting. I assume this interestingness must be snorkeling related.

Here we have a Japanese pearl diver. with only a snorkeling mask,, he dives deep into the ocean to retrieve his prize, the expensive and shiny pearls, secreted away inside oysters.

Pearls are mostly farmed nowadays, and this dangerous, stupid, but nonetheless interesting activity is dying out.

Post Trip Harsh Reality

Well, I Thought It Was Amusing.

Snorkeling is an amusing activity. Occasionally you can see fish, or even, provided you are in an approved location, spear them. I have been known to.

Gorillas have nothing to do with snorkeling.

However I would like to imagine a Gorilla with a snorkel on, and giggle quietly to myself.

Snorkeling And Why I Like It.

Above is an image of my class, resplendent in our wetsuits.

So, my good friends, I have been, with great cruelty, forced to create a second web log to broadcast my underwater adventures. The point of it being that I may post upon it images photographed of myself doing the afore said snorkeling and acess and display such things to friends, provided I have a computer with internet access.

I like snorkeling, or rather the idea of snorkeling. The under of the sea is something that I have loved since I read "20,00 Leagues Under The Sea" by Jules Verne when I was eight. But snorkeling itself is fun too, provided you swim somewhere warm, with clear water and at a pleasant time of the day.
